Can store bought carpet stain removers like Resolve or others products damage my carpet?
Jun. 18, 2010 by Harry B., North Carolina
Some stain removers like Resolve and other that contain OXY clean can actually bleach the carpet. I see it everyday. It is best to test the product by placing some a white towel and rubbing it in an inconspicuous area of the carpet to test for color fastness. Store bought products also seems to leave alot of residue in the carpet that is difficult to remove later.
When spills happen, try to get them out with a wet cloth. Vinegar and water also work well.
When in doubt, always call a professional
Do Carpet and Fabric Protection products like Dupont Teflon Protectant really work?

NCC, North Carolina
If a protectant is applied properly it can add years to your carpet's life. Just like wax can protect the paint finish on your car, or the finish of your hardwood floors, fabric protectants protect the "finish" of your carpet fibers. We use Dupont Teflon protectant, which is internationally known for their fabric protectors. A Dupont Teflon protectant treatment can prevent a stain from becoming permanent, as well as help your carpet stay cleaner longer.

Manufacturers recommend that carpets should be professionally cleaned every 6-18 months. In fact, some manufacturers require professional steam cleaning, (hot water extraction), on a regular basis in order to maintain your warranty.
How soon can I walk on my carpets after Cleaning?

NCC, North Carolina
Normal Dry Time is between 4-8 hours depending on type of carpet, time of year, humidity level, and how much soil was in your carpet (the more soil that is in your carpet, the more water & cleaning solution we'll have to use) We do provide "booties" upon request. It does not hurt to walk on the carpet immediately after cleaning, but it is important to understand that a slightly damp carpet will attract soil
I received your brochure for a 3 rooms and hall estimate for $99. Does this include moving and replacing furniture, or do you clean aroud the furniture???

We typically clean around furniture such as beds and dressers in bedrooms. We usually move small items sucha s lamps, end tables, etc. We can move the couches and chairs in the living room for no additional cost.
Thanks

If I have a 520 sq ft room can you count it as two rooms so I can still receive the 3 room special?

Our carpet cleaning pricing is based on a standard room size of 225 sq. ft. Call for more details of how this would be applied in your situation.
Is it true that the air in my home contains more pollutants than the outdoor air?
Mar. 3, 2010 by
NCC, North Carolina
Yes, in most cases. Pollutants and contaminants such as pollens, fungus, car exhaust, bacteria, cigarette smoke and hundreds of other chemicals are carried into your home on your clothing, skin, hair and shoes. All of these pollutants end up in your carpet. Now, as you walk across your carpet all of these contaminants become airborne into the air you breathe.
Is there an odor from the products you use? Can people who are chemically sensitive tolerate your products?
May. 16, 2010
There is no odor in the cleaning products we use. We usually add a deodorizer to the pretreatment to give the carpet or home a fresh smell. We use many eco-friendly products that are "Green" meaning are free of solvents and other chemicals. They are made only from plant extracts. We have had no reported problems yet with sensitivity to our products. For those who are extremely sensitive to many things, we have an Anti-allergy product we use for a pretreatment that works great.
